Who we Are?

In 1923, the first quarry in the area was opened. In 1938, the Cyr family bought the operation. During this period, the company produced cut stone for sculptures, refractory stone for stoves and slabs for tombstones. The 10th of january 2000, Luzenac Inc., sold the soapstone cutting division and a new company "Les Pierres Stéatites Inc." came to life and continues to produce  quality stones.

Our Goal

Les Pierres Steatites has a goal : to cut better soapstone quality and to provide it to all North America.
